RTE have released a statement to say they remain fully committed to its operations in Cork, contrary to speculation.
The Statement says that the suitability of the current building for the full range of RTE's operations in Cork is being assessed.
The statement was released following reports that RTE bosses are planning to sell RTE's Cork studio in an effort to cut costs, and that they would be moving to a new rented studio at One Albert Quay.
The Today Show is broadcast from the Cork studios on Father Matthew Street, along with Nationwide and the John Creedon Radio Show.
The short statement from RTE reads:
"Contrary to speculation, RTÉ remains fully committed to its operations in Cork.
"The suitability of the current building for the full range of RTÉ's operations in Cork is being assessed."
