The Road Construction Team at the Dunkettle Interchange is reminding road users of new speed limits in place.
The team say that the permanent speed limit will be 30km/h on Link F upon completion of the works. This is required for the safety on motorists due to the tight radius of this section.
For traffic between Little Island Junction 2 and the Glanmire / Tivoli Roundabout (i.e., staying on the N25 in both directions), the permanent speed limit will be 80 km/h.
For traffic between the M8 and the Tunnel, the speed limit will be 60 km/h in both directions.
The remaining link roads for the most part will have 60 km/h speed limits – this is required in order to facilitate the merging of traffic lanes.
Management are reminding motorists to pay attention to road signs at the interchange and speed check points are in operation.
