The RNLI was tasked with assisting an 18-metre workboat which got into difficulty off the coast of West Cork last night.
Castletownbere RNLI was notified a vessel was taking on water and could sink just before midnight.
The vessel and its two crew members were located five miles North West of Dursey island.
They had brought the issue under control, and they RNLI accompanied them back to land by twenty-five-past-two.
