It’s expected the jury in the trial of Richard Satchwell will be presented with more media interviews he gave following his wife's disappearance.

Three interviews - carried out after Tina Satchell went missing from her home in Youghal - were played in court yesterday afternoon.

Richard Satchwell described his wife as ‘the most amazing person I’ve ever come across’ in an interview given to RTE on the 26th of June 2017.

He says she had asked him to go to Aldi in Dungarvan in Co Waterford and was not at the house when he got back.

In an interview with Independent.ie on the 5th of July he said he believes Tina will turn up and in an interview on the Opinion Line on the 9th of July, says Tina was afraid of flying.

57-year-old Richard Satchwell of Grattan Street in Youghal County Cork has pleaded not guilty to the murder of his wife Tina at the same address in March 2017.
