A family syndicate who bought a lucky €250 million EuroMillions ticket in Cork city say they are in shock after scooping the historic jackpot
They have described the win as "surreal" and say it won't change them, vowing they'll still be having ham and cheese sambos for lunch
The winners, who have chosen to remain anonymous, say one of the family members stopped into Clifford's on Shandon Street to pick up a few messages and made a last minute decision to play the Lotto
Speaking to RedFM News Simon Champ manager at Cliffords says there has been huge speculation about the winner in the weeks since the winning ticket was sold
"We wish them every happiness. I suppose among our customers in particular, it was felt it was an awful lot of money for one person to win, you know, and the fact that it's a family that are sharing it, we are delighted to hear that and we hope it brings nothing but happiness"
