A group from Beaumont nursing home and their families say they've been left with no other option but to protest outside the Dail.
Residents and their family members are travelling to Dublin this morning to call on the Government to intervene in a funding row before they're forced to leave the nursing home.
53 residents will have to move out of the home unless the National Treatment Purchase Fund increases Fair Deal funding for residents to cover cost of living increases.
Residents of the private nursing home were allocated 16 euro additional funding per week to cover the cost of living increases while the HSE provided €183 extra for resident in HSE homes in Cork.
Speaking to RedFM News, Anne Rogers, a relative of one of the residents says that Fair Deal nursing home residents receive €738 less than nursing home residents.
"If you're availing of the Fair Deal scheme in a HSE nursing home you get more funding than you do if you're in a private nursing home, for no reason.
"I suppose the HSE would like to point out that the residents in a HSE nursing home have more complex needs, but that's actually not the case.
"If you take my Mam for example, she has extreme healthcare needs, and she would need two healthcare givers to provide care for her on a daily basis, just to carry out basic daily tasks."
