Residents in East Cork say yesterday's flooding caused chaotic conditions in Castlemartyr, Killeagh and Mogeely.

Another Status Yellow warning for rain is in place for Cork until 11pm.

Speaking to RedFM News, Caroline Leahy from the Midleton and East Cork Flood Protection Group says no lessons have been learnt from previous flood events:

"There was quite a lot of flooding in Castlemartyr and Mogeely and the way that was dealt with was traffic was diverted from Mogeely into Castlemartyr which caused water to be pushed by traffic towards peoples homes. So where we have been told that lessons have been learnt from previous flood events where the roads should have been closed, none of that has been done and it was chaotic in Castlemartyr for the people trying to get help there."
