Residents in Ballyhooly say poor water pressure is having a detrimental impact on the area.
The village in North Cork experiences regular outages to the water supply with some residents reporting being unable to shower for 3 days.
Speaking to RedFM News, John Howard from Ballyhooly Community Council says the village can sometimes completely shut down due to water outages:
"Some parents might take their children away to go wash at their parents house in Fermoy or the local, the schools close because obviously if you have no water, it's not safe. The shop has to close and the pubs as well if they have no water due to health and safety reasons."
