Extended opening hours for pubs and nightclubs would help the recovery of the hospitality sector following the pandemic.
That's the view of the General Manager of Reardens in the city John Styles after night life campaigners renewed their calls for nightclubs to be allowed to serve until 3:30am.
The Give us the Night campaign have also warned that the number of dance venues has fallen from 500 in 2001 to just 80 this year.
Speaking to RedFM News, John Styles from Reardens says anything that speeds up the recovery of the sector is welcome.
"The hospitality sector really really suffered an awful lot. And we've heard people say could take a decade before it bounces back, by the time you attract all the right people back into the industry.
"The industry has lost a lot of good staff, so hopefully anything that kind of secures the future of hospitality pubs and hotels and clubs and attracts staff into it.
