The proposed Cork Luas route has been delayed.
An update was meant to be given in early July but according to a report in the Examiner, it will be given later in the year because of discussions between Cork City Council and the National Transport Authority.
The 17 kilometre east to west route is expected to serve, Ballincollig, MTU, CUH, UCC, Cork City Centre and Kent Train Station.
Planning and design work for the Cork Luas is estimated to cost around 1 billion euro and has cost 1.8 million so far.
