Property owners in Midleton say weather warnings bring a wave of anxiety to the flood prone town.
A Status Yellow warning for rain will come into effect in Cork at 8 o’clock tonight.
Speaking to RedFM News, Caroline Leahy c says the rain that falls tonight will contribute to further storms this season:
"It instantly brings anxiety, a drop in the pit your stomach, we know we won't flood everytime there is rain but every drop of rain adds to the next storm, so while we might not flood today, it adds to the worry of the flood that's coming next week."
