A propeller, believed to be from a World War One German submarine, has been recovered by divers off the coast of Cork.

The UC-42 sank at Cork Harbour in 1917 when a mine it was carrying exploded.

All 27 crew members died in the explosion.

In 2010, the submarine was re-discovered by local divers but the propeller was only discovered metres from the submarine two years ago.
