A press conference is to discuss a housing protest is underway in the city.
Raise The Roof campaigners will hold a demonstration on the 4th of October to highlight the need for more housing as well as cost of living measures in the next budget.
Speaking to RedFM News, UCC Students Union President Alex Angland says investment in university accommodation in Cork is long overdue:
"I'll be doing my best to give the students, persepctive and hightlight the need for investment in student accommodation, we have the least beds per students in the University sector. We have half the beds of UL, half the beds of UL, half the beds of UCD, and 1000 less than trinity. Cork has been long overdue a substantial investment now."
