The potential closure of An Post sorting offices in Cork will be raised in the Dail this morning.
It was reported yesterday that An Post is considering the closure of sorting offices in Midleton and Ballincollig, with staff at Midleton potentially being moved to Little Island, while a new facility in Macroom would incorporate the Ballincollig delivery office.
Sinn Fein TD for Cork East Pat Buckley will raise the issue with the Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications Eamon Ryan in the Dail.
An Post is set to begin a nationwide review of its services as they look to reduce losses at the company, which has lost €60m over the past two years.
