A planning application for the N/M20 Cork to Limerick road will be submitted to An Bord Pleanála next year, subject to approval of the project’s Business Case which will be presented to Government later this year.
If planning consent is granted, Charleville, Buttevant and Mallow by-passes will be initially constructed.
The project could begin in 2028 and take around seven years to complete.
