A planned work stoppage by Emerald Airlines Pilots has been suspended.
In a statement to RedFM News the Forsa Trade Union says that the planned industrial action, which was due to take place over a 24 hour period on Friday, has been temporarily suspended.
The planned industrial action was in response to the airline’s alleged failure to engage with IALPA, the professional association which represents pilots in Ireland.
Emerald Airlines operates the the regional service for Aer Lingus, including the COrk- Bristol route.
Union officials and Emerald Management are due to meet this morning, and in the statement to RedFM news, Forsa national secretary Katie Morgan says the strike action has been suspended to allow for meaningful engagement at the meeting.
Emerald pilots had been engaged in a strict work-to-rule since 24th June, which escalated last week.
