Pharmacists say they want to be able to provide alternative antibiotics for patients with Strep A.

It follows a shortage in medicine containing penicillin - commonly used to treat the infection.

Annemarie Horan from the Irish Pharmacy Union says it's vital patients are treated for Strep A as soon as possible.
