People in Cork are eagerly checking their lotto tickets this morning as the latest Euromillions winning ticket was bought in Ireland.
The winner has scooped the top prize of €250 million – the highest possible amount that can be won and the largest amount that's been won in the country.
Past winners in the country have won between €49.5 million and €175 million.
Speaking to RedFM News, Fiona Lynam, Deputy Manager of Centra in the Grand Parade says she hopes she sold the winning ticket:
"Whoever it is is a very lucky Cork boy today, so hopefully, fingers crossed, it's sold here but if not, I wish all the best to the person who won it."
