Parents in Bantry say they are unable to get a dedicated school bus for their 33 children.

At least 20 parents are driving from Bantry to Schull everyday to get to school, which is 30 minutes away.

According to Parent Helen O'Neill, the Department of Education say they cannot provide transport as it is not their local school.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville show, she says the current situation is not feasible:

The majority of us are parents that are working full time, like driving a half an hour in the morning, backwards and forwards while doing other school runs for other children. It's just not really feasible. I know there's a teacher, one or two teachers, that lives in the area here that's bringing over kids, but they're not going to fit 33 kids in their car. You know what I mean?
