Over 600 new homes set to be built in Cork City

Plans for over 600 new homes in Cork City have been approved.

An Bord Pleanála has approved plans for 12 buildings at the former CMP site at the junction of Kinsale Road and Tramore Road, which will comprise of apartments and townhouse apartments in a mix of one, two, three and four bed units.

Watfore Limited, the property management subsidiary of Dairygold which owns the site, was granted permission for the strategic housing development at the site, subject to 30 conditions.

The CMP site closed in 2006, remaining mostly unused since then.
