Over 500 people as well as 110 vessels gathered in Kinsale on Friday evening to protest a mussel farm at the Dock Beach.
Over 3,000 people have signed a petition, demanding the licence granted by the Department of the Marine in May, be revoked.
The proposed mussel farm would cover 25 hectares, the size of 18 GAA pitches which has sparked serious concern from local residents.
