The principal of a special school city says there are not  enough therapists working with students.

New figures show 80% of therapist roles sanctioned for 17 special schools across Cork have been filled.

Anne Hartnett Principal of St. Paul’s Special School in Montenotte says just one speech and language therapist has been working with 90 children which is not enough:

"Percentages mean nothing to students at this school, percentages? We're talking about children. 90 children with a moderate or severe or profound intellectual disability, most of our children are non verbal, they need more than one senior SLT."
