Iarnród Eireann say there are no plans for the lack of car parking for rail commuters to be addressed at Kent Station

The car park is full before 7am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays leading commuters taking later trains to incur fines as they are forced to park on street

Calls have been made for the number of parking spaces to be increased and to introduce a system where your train ticket must be produced before you can use the car park

Speaking to RedFM News Jane Cregan from Iarnród Eireann says the provision of car parking at the station is a matter for the National Transport Authority

"As it stands, there is not a plan to extend the carpark,  there isn't more land available, the only alternative would be a multi storey carpark. And as I said, that's not currently part of the plans for that location"
