It's been confirmed there will be no homecoming event for Cork hurlers this evening.
The team and management have requested that any planned events be cancelled but would like to thank the entire county for their unwavering support throughout the year.
Cork were defeated by Tipperary 3-27 to 1-18 in Croke Park yesterday.
Meanwhile, this Cork supporter is optimistic The Rebels can make a comeback next time:
"We always have to be, you have to be. I mean, there were a few good performances too and I think Cork hit the up rights more times than they hit the score board in the second half but look, one has to be optimistic you have to congratulate Tipperary on an excellent second half and Cork will just have to start again."
