Students from MTU are travelling to the capital to demand clarity on contribution fees from the Government.
A protest is being held outside Leinster House this evening after the Higher Education Minister confirmed the 3-thousand-euro fee was going to be re-instated recently.
Speaking to RedFM News, Richard Noonan from MTU Students’ Union says the 1-thousand-euro reduction needs to be in place for the upcoming year:
"It needs to be recognised by the Dáil that students are going to feel they're not being supported by Government. And what other choice do they have but to leave 3rd level education or leave the country. These are the options that are being put to them at the end of the day."
