People are being reminded to pay particular attention at the Dunkettle Interchange and to use extreme caution as motorists get used to significant changes.
The new free-flow system was introduced on Sunday and speed checks will be in place at the former-roundabout.
The project team say a key aspect of the new layout is that drivers will allow other traffic to merge from neighbouring lanes and are asking motorists to pay attention to any changes to the speed limit.
It’s been confirmed that a permanent speed limit of 30 kilometres per hour will be in place on a short, looped section of the N8/ N40 to Cork City/ Tunnel road when the final project is completed.
