Mary Elmes pedestrian and cycle bridge has reopened in the city after it was damaged during a joyriding incident on Sunday night
Metal and wooden decking panels on the bridge were cracked and fell into the river after a scissors lift was driven onto the bridge
A metal handrail was also damaged which led to the closure of the bridge on safety grounds
Temporary repairs have allowed the bridge to be reopened to the public with more permanent repairs to be carried out at a later stage
