A man in his 40's is in custody after Gardaí were alerted to an incident at a bar in Douglas where two staff members were allegedly assaulted with a knife.
It happened yesterday evening at around 6'o clock.
The alarm was raised after two staff members were allegedly assaulted by a male armed with a knife.
Both staff members were assessed and treated at the scene by medical personnel.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene by investigating Gardaí and taken to Togher Garda Station where he is currently detained.
Meanwhile, Gardaí in Anglesea Street are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery in the on Friday evening.
A man entered a business premises on the South Douglas Road at about 1.50pm, armed with a knife and demanded money.
He held a male customer at knifepoint and threatened staff, before leaving the scene with a substantial sum of money.
No one was injured in the incident.
