A man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Douglas.
It happened at Bank of Ireland in Douglas Village Shopping Centre at around 2pm yesterday.
Gardaí say no injuries were reported but cash was taken from the branch on the south side of the city.
A man in his 40's was arrested and he is due to appear before Cork District Court this morning.
"Gardaí received a report of an incident of robbery that occurred at a commercial premises in Douglas, Cork city on Wednesday 19th November 2025 at approximately 2pm.
No injuries have been reported. A quantity of cash has been reported as stolen.
A male aged in his 40s was arrested on 19th November, 2025 has been charged and is due to appear before Cork City District Court, Court 1 today Thursday 20th November, 2025.
As this matter is now before the courts, An Garda Síochána is not in a position to comment further at this time."
