Emergency services were called to the scene at Ballymaquirk Cross outside Banteer yesterday at 5:45pm.
Two units of the fire service from Kanturk and Millstreet, Gardaí and the National Ambulance Service attended the scene.
The motorcyclist in his 40s was airlifted to CUH, while the occupants of the car were not injured.
