A 34-year-old man, accused of burgling three apartments and leaving a note with his name, number and two unopened condoms in one woman's apartment, has been remanded in custody with consent to bail.

Cork District Court previously heard the man had allegedly gained entry to a gated apartment complex in Cork City on the 10th of December, 2023.

The court previously heard allegations Szymon Kaczorowski from Farran in Ovens, Co Cork had entered a second apartment where the woman living there was home alone.

Garda Paraic O’Connor said the woman noticed the door opening and closing and was confronted by a man she didn’t know in the hallway who left the apartment but remained in the building.

The accused is alleged to have tried to enter bedrooms at a third apartment but could only access the living room where he found alcohol.

Judge Mary Dorgan heard Kaczorowski had been granted bail in the High Court but was yet to take it up.

He is due before the court again on the 20th of February.
