The UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has today published a report, summarising the main conclusions from its last six studies.

It's found that global warming has already increased 1.1 degrees since the 19th century, and is well on track to continue to rise.

Lecturer in Climate Policy and climate activist, Sadhbh O'Neill says there are ways to limit the damage - but it requires decisive action:

"A lot of solutions have already been written out in detail of what needs to be done in every sector of every economy, including transport, buildings, energy, shipping, aviation- the whole lot. So all the solutions have been written out, it's just that governments don't seem to be acting with the level of urgency that's required."
