The contract for the long awaited M28 Cork to Ringaskiddy motorway has been signed.
Government has approved the multi million-euro investment and say the project will now progress to the construction phase.
Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien told RedFM News the motorway will allow the transfer of port activities from Tivoli to Ringaskiddy which will be transformative for Cork:
"It's a muli-million euro investment and its extremely significant for the region. It's another example of the commitment from Government to improving road, rail and infrastructure here in Cork."
