The Lord Mayor of the city says refugees need access to proper healthcare while they live in a period of uncertainty.

The HSE has launched a Migrant Health Hub in Cork this World Refugee Day.

Speaking to RedFM News, Lord Mayor of the city councillor Dan Boyle says the hub will support people who do not have residency in Ireland:

"It isn't about people being treated especially, it's about people being treated particularly. People who are looking for status in terms of residency and possibly citizenship, they don't have full access to services that Irish citizens have so we need to come up with a way of providing the services and accessing services for people while they are in this grey area."
