Locals in Hollyhill are numb with grief after a man died in a house fire.
The man in his 60's was removed from his home in Ardcullen and a woman in her 60's was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.
Local councillor Tony Fitzgerald told RedFM News neighbours rushed to help when the saw the blaze:
"The community in Ardcullen are numbed with the very sad news of a local neighbour who passed away during a fire last evening. In the immediate area, people came to help with the fire to see if they could rescue anyone inside the fire, but following the news that one of their neighbours had deceased people were very very saddened."
