Locals living near a former piggery in Grenagh say they face a summer of uncertainty due to the presence of asbestos at the site
The piggery was demolished without permission in April and the County Council subsequently confirmed the presence of asbestos
Air monitoring is ongoing and a clean up operation is due to get underway to remove the mound of rubble remaining at the site
Speaking to RedFM News David Manning of the Grenagh residents sub-committee says there is huge anxiety in the local community
"How many lorries a day driving in and out of this site, potentially lifting asbestos back up into the environment? I've spoken with parents who said they're probably going to move their kids out to aunts, uncles, grandparents houses as they don't want the risk of their kids being out playing in the playground, out on the street, and these vans and lorries passing them with this material"
