This month, the building which is home to The Everyman is celebrating the 125 anniversary of its opening.

The Everyman's building at 15 MacCurtain Street opened on Easter Monday night 1897.

Back then, it was known as the Cork Palace of Varieties.

It then became one of the city's major cinemas for almost 50 years.
