The German discount retailer says it plans to create a bespoke design in keeping with the area and will include a café, electric car charger spaces, a solar panel system and a green roof.
The store will create 30 jobs while the Café will create 10 jobs.
It would bring to 21 the number of Lidl stores in Cork City and County.
