Residents who received letters saying their land will be used for the Cork to Kinsale Greenway say they are still in shock their land may be taken from them.
The third round of public consultation is open for the emerging preferred route and events are being held across West Cork this month.
Speaking to RedFM News, Resident in Ballinhassig Noreen Ring says 1,700 landowners have received letters already:
"We're shocked mainly, 3 weeks or so now since we received the letter, we're trying to organise a committee specifically for this but we all have busy lives and to have this dumped at our doors, it's just been very stressful."
