The jury at the trial of two men accused of the murder of 47-year-old Kieran Quilligan have started their deliberations.
The trial began at the Central Criminal Court in Cork on the 8th of this month and heard from forty-seven witnesses.
The jury of ten men and two women were sent to the jury room at 2:22pm.
Ms Justice Siobhan Lankford told them they can choose from three verdicts- Guilty of murder, not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter, or not guilty of murder.
The judge told the jury there are two separate trials before them and they can return separate verdicts for each man.
33-year-old Niall Long, formerly of St Michael’s Close, Mahon, Cork and 28-year-old Luke Taylor, formerly of Cherry Lawn, Blackrock, Cork have both pleaded NOT guilty to murder.
