Aiken Promotions says staff are in place specifically to provide assistance to people who have accessible tickets.

The statement comes after issues were raised around accessibility at the new Live at the Marquee site on Centre Park Road.

Music fans complained about the surface and reported a long distance from parking facilities to the venue.

One man, who is a wheelchair user, said the accessible tickets were sold out for the Van Morrisson gig so he had to buy a general access ticket.

He says the coarse gravel surface meant he had to go up on his back wheels to get to the concert.

Aiken Promotions say they are aware that there was an issue at one of the concerts, but say for ticket holders with prebooked parking, there is a reserved accessible parking area and staff are there to assist if required.

For those with accessible tickets not arriving by car, there are also extra staff at the gate for assistance.
