Irish Water and the County Council have issued an urgent appeal to the public in Cork to conserve water.
The appeal comes as it was announced that night-time water restrictions will continue in the Clonakilty and Newmarket areas - until further notice.
There's been an increase in the number of pumping stations that are struggling to deal with the drought conditions.
Overnight restrictions are in place in the Newmarket and Clonakilty areas between 11pm and 7am.
