The Irish Blood Transfusion are holding clinics in Cork this week.
it comes as an urgent appeal for blood donations has been issued.
The service say a combination of high demand from hospitals, and cancelled donation appointments, has led to just three days' supplies being available.
The IBTS usually aims to have seven days of stock in the system.
Clinics are being held in the Rochestown Park Hotel today and tomorrow from 4 to 8PM and in the Middleton park hotel on Wednesday and Thursday.
Donors can call 1800 731 137 to make an appointment.
