'Work with Pride' network was founded in November last year and was launched yesterday evening at the River Lee Hotel.
The group aims to create an environment for members of the LGBT+ community to network and build professional relationships, as well as to help people to broaden their career opportunities.
The network is a Cork LGBT+ Pride initiative and will host a number of events throughout the year.
Speaking to RedFM News, chairperson of the network Damien O'Halloran says it's open to all business professionals:
"I talk about the LGBT+ community, but I think there's also a huge opportunity for allies to get involved as well. Do you have to be a member of the community to join? Absolutely not. I think it's a great opportunity for allies to educate themselves on workplace topics that are relevant to the LGBT+ community and essentially, as an ally, you become more of an inclusive, aware colleague."
