An inquest in Cork has heard a 31-year-old woman died from a stab wound to the chest earlier this year.
Paula Canty from Kinsale was found dead at her home in Mallow on the 3rd of January.
Cork Coroners Court today heard the mother of two died from haemorrhage and shock days before her 32nd birthday.
42-year-old Joseph Buttler of the Belfry in Mallow has been charged with her murder and is due to face trial at the Central Criminal Court.
The inquest has been adjourned indefinitely following legal proceedings.
Coroner for County Cork, Frank O'Connell told the court the situation will be revisited.
