The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation are to meet next week to review the promises made as part of the agreement reached around the controversial pay and numbers strategy
The HSE strategy was the subject of a dispute as the union said it amounted to a recruitment freeze which has now left a deficit of 600 posts across the HSE South West
Liam Conway of the INMO told RedFM News commitments made in the pay and numbers strategy agreement have yet to happen
"We, as a union group, are entirely dissatisfied with how the pay and numbers agreement has progressed in the last number of months. And there's actually a review of that next week. And I suppose it's bringing a lot of discontent on the ground, from frontline workers, from our members - nurses and midwives - they're seeing commitments that were in that agreement not being fulfilled"
