There's an all year-round crisis when it comes to overcrowding in hospitals,
That's the warning from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation who say over 3,000 patients were waiting on trolleys this week.
1,041 patients were on trolleys in the CUH in February making it the second-highest number of patients on trolleys in the country that month.
Sinn Fein's Deputy David Cullinane is concerned no extra beds are on the way:
"There is no additional beds being delivered or funded, and I think that's a major mistake by Government and by the minister, and if we don't put the, additional beds in, or hire the additional staff, or put the other capacity into primary and community care, then the numbers that we're seeing over the last number of weeks of patients waiting in the emergency department numbers is going to get worse, not better."
