INMO figures show CUH as second most overcrowded hospital

Cork University Hospital is the second most overcrowded hospital in the country this morning.

Figures from the INMO show that nationally, 470 patients are being treated on trolleys at hospitals across the country today.

425 patients are waiting in emergency departments, while 45 are in wards elsewhere in the hospitals, according to the INMO.

University Hospital Galway is the worst affected facility, with 59 people awaiting a bed.

That's followed by 49 at Cork University Hospital, and 46 at University Hospital Limerick.
