150,000 more children will benefit from the government's hot school meals programme as part of an expansion from today.
The Taoiseach and the Social Protection Minister will announce the move to include a further 900 schools in the scheme this afternoon.
Primary schools yet to join the hot meals programme are being invited to express an interest, with a view to further funding for the programme.
