Homelessness figures have risen slightly again in Cork with 663 adults accessing emergency accommodation at the end of July
221 children in Cork and Kerry are also growing up in B&Bs and hotels.
The latest Department of Housing figures show 16,058 people are registered as homeless across the country - which includes nearly 5,000 children.
The data doesn't include rough sleepers, women in refuge centres, asylum seekers, refugees or the so-called 'hidden homeless'.
